The main attraction of the Eravikulam National Park is the park holds the largest viable population of the rare Nilgiri Tahr. Twenty Six different types of mammals can be seen here.

Silent Valley National Park is located at a distance of 40 Km from Mannarkad in northeastern corner of Palakkad district. The Silent Valley National Park is probably one of the most wonderful contributions of nature to humans. The Park is commonly known as Sairndhrivanam in India.
