Ponmudi in KeralaPonmudi is one of the popular hill stations of Kerala located at a distance of 57 Km from Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of Kerala. Ponmudi, an amazing tourist destination is also a part of the Western Ghats that runs parallel to the Arabian Sea.  Ponmudi is situated 1100 meters above sea level. Places to visit near Ponmudi Agasthyarkoodam: Agasthyarkoodam is one of the highest peaks in the Western Ghats, with the highest peak at 1868 meters. Agasthyarkoodam is popular for its wilderness. If you want to trek the peak, you will need to get the permission of the Forest Department. Tea Gardens: A visit to the nearby tea gardens is a peaceful experience. A deer park is there at the mountain top.
