Kasaragod district is one of the important districts of Kerala and it is located in the northernmost part of Kerala.
Kasaragod district is surrounded by Western Ghats in the east, Arabian Sea in the West, Kannur district in the South and Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka in the north. Kasaragod Town is the district headquarters of the district. The Kasaragod district is situated 19 meters above sea level.
Kasaragod district is rich in scintillating natural features and aptly marked by number of ancient and historical temples. The district is gifted with 11 rivers. The scenery of the Kasaragod district is dominated by the characteristic coconut palms in addition with rolling hills and streams flowing into the sea. The district is also has a long history of Islamic culture and impact.

How to reach Kasaragod
Airport: There is no airport in Kasaragod. The nearest airport is located in Bajpe, Mangalore. Bajpe is about 63 Km from Kasaragod. The other airport is located in Kozhikode (200 Km).
Railway Stations: Railway line passes parallel to the coastal line. The major Railway stations of Kasaragod district are Trikaripur, Cheruvathur, Nileshwar, Kanhangad, Kasargod, Kumbla, Uppla and Manjeshwar. Almost all Express trains will stop in these stations.
Road: National Highway NH-17 passes through the Kasaragod district. The national highway starts from Manjeshwar and passes through Uppla, Kumbla, Kasargod, Kanhangad, Nileshwar, Cheruvathur, Trikaripur and proceeds to Kannur district via Kalikadavu.
